Changes in the Wake of Coronavirus

Our physical store may be closed until the coronavirus lockdown is lifted, but we are up and running in different ways:

  • If you want to rent an instrument, you can see our rental prices and policies here and then fill out an online rental form here. We will reach out to you via phone to get a few last pieces of information and then arrange for a safe and secure pickup or we can deliver it to you.

  • If you want to browse and shop for ukes, guitars, digital pianos, books, hand drums, pro audio, or accessories, our fully operational online store is available! All available with free shipping or, even better, safe and secure pickup within 24 hours.

  • If you need anything else (reeds, books, band or orchestra instruments, etc.) contact us at info@lamorindamusic.com and we will help you out.

  • Note that our instructors at our store have successfully transitioned to online teaching for the duration of the lockdown. Check out their bios and contact information here (the password is "music") and feel free to give them a call.

Thanks, everyone - our community is wonderful and together we will get through this!

Feel free to contact us at info@lamorindamusic.com if you have any questions.

Testimonials

"Wonderful place to find an instrument. All the salespeople were extremely friendly knowledgeable and helpful."

- Heather M

"I should have written a review for Lamorinda Music long ago. We have rented instruments from them through the years, and it's always been a pleasure. I also had some work on the neck of my electric guitar (leveling of the frets) and a fix of the electronics. All was done well for very reasonable pricing. Last week we upgraded the pickups on my son's electric bass and it was also done quickly, effectively and for a very reasonable fee. This place is a gem for Lamorinda musicians."

"Great locally owned and operated establishment. Wide selection, fair pricing

From the hosts Austin and Andree: Are you a hobby musician or singer who enjoys folk, bluegrass, country, blues, roots, or Americana? We're musicians from Lafayette and are starting Front Porch open mic to network with like-minded musicians for enjoyment, collaboration, and to support each other on stage. Everyone should be afforded an audience, so for  two hours every month, we encourage performers to "play and stay!" This is also a great place to meet people that you're interested in playing with or performing with in the future (at this and other venues). First-time performers welcome! For more information, click here

Carbon Fiber Travel Guitars and Ukes - by KLŌS Guitars

Durable, portable, amazing sound.

KLŌS Guitars makes three different carbon fiber instruments—a travel guitar, full size guitar, and ukulele. Each model can be upgraded to Acoustic Electric and Deluxe Editions, which feature premium add-ons!

Durable Carbon Fiber

Carbon fiber is much stronger and more resistant than wood. The one-piece body makes a very strong structure all around, whereas wooden guitars and ukes need bracing and kerfing at the juncture of the back piece to the side piece to support the thin wood and corners. On KLŌS instruments, there are no bottom corners to crack or dent.

Detachable Neck (guitars only)

Easily Disassembled! The neck attaches to the body via our proprietary neck block. Four screws bolt the neck securely in place via metal inserts. This creates a secure joint that allows the neck to sit in its place identically every time that it is taken apart and put back together.

We are the only KLŌS dealer in Northern Californa. Stop by and see these amazing instruments.
