The Lamorinda Music "Big Room"
Did you know that Lamorinda Music has a first-class group area available for rent? We call it our "Big Room". It is perfect for group classes and recitals. It can accommodate up to 65 people depending on the seating configuration.

There is a 8-foot x 16-foot stage area and room for 70 seated attendees. There is a baby grand piano that can be on stage (or cleared off the stage it if isn't required.) We will provide chairs and portable tables as necessary. There is direct access to the parking lot so the participants can enter and exit outside of normal business hours. There is an ADA-accessible restroom right within the area.
Available for Rent
The Big Room is a terrific venue to rent for music-related events. The standard rates are as follows: (effective for all events booked after June 1, 2017):
$40/hour during our normal business hours (9-6 M-F, 10-5 Sat)
$50/hour outside normal business hours for an event less than 45 people
$70/hour outside normal business hours for an event with more than 45 people.
The rental time needs to include your set up and teardown as well.
Rent can be reduced for a regularly scheduled event (e.g. weekly or monthly)
Fees for concerts and similar performances are generally taken as a percentage of ticket sales.
So, what works in the Big Room?
It is ideal for group classes like our monthly uke class and jam, our weekly ukulele club, and kids classes like Music Together, among others.
It also works really well as a recital area. We frequently have music teachers from around the area hosting piano, violin, and vocal recitals.
