Lamorinda Music is now accepting applications for a part-time or full-time sales associate. We are a family-owned and operated full-line music store in charming downtown Lafayette, CA. In addition to retail sales and rentals, Lamorinda Music has fourteen teaching studios and a group performance room. 

 

Duties

• Greet and help customers with merchandise selection

• Ring up sales in a computerized POS system

• Answer phones

• Help students choose an instrument to play

• Input and explain instrument rental contracts

• Receive instruments for repair

• Help with basic repairs and restringing

• Help clean rental return instruments and cases

• Explain teaching studios and refer accordingly

• Inventory management (entering, ordering, etc.)

• Keep the store tidy by vacuuming, cleaning glass, and maintaining bathrooms, etc.

• Set up for events, recitals, and classes​

Requirements

• Musical background (play piano, band, orchestra, or fretted instruments)

• Professional, friendly demeanor, and excellent customer service skills

• Must be available on Saturdays

• Detail-oriented, organized, and self-motivated

• Computer skills and accuracy in data entry
