This is a vintage 1920's Besson Class "A" Cornet, Prototype model. Made in England. It is in terrific shape with no scratches or dents with a wonderful floral engraving on the bell. Our senior repair technician has checked it out and it plays well. This instrument must have been used in a church band as it has an additional engraving "Rev. Adolphud Nelson Walker" and "Praise ye the Lord". It comes with the original case which also has "Rev. A. N. Walker" and "Praise ye the Lord" stenciled on it. The badge inside the case says it is prototype model. Comes with two mouthpieces - one looks original and has "Besson" and "prototype" engraved on it. The other is a modern Yamaha 11B4 cornet mouthpiece. |
