Think Ukuleles are only appropriate for luaus? Think

guitar family and is undergoing a serious revival of
interest since thie 1990's among all kinds of musicians.

 New
for 2012: We just got in a couple of Kala's
newest ukulele - the "Golden Acacia". The
Acacia is a tropical tree that is a cousin of the Hawaiian
Koa. They have gorgeous striped patterns of light and
dark brown and have a deep colorful tone that match
their visual beauty. These have a solid Acacia top with
Acacia back and sides and a Satin finish. They come
with a rosewood fingerboard and bridge, twelve nickel
silver frets and a mahogany neck.
We have both thee the soprano and concert sizes in
stock. They are a great value and look and play great
too.

including Zebra Wood ukes, Curly Koa, Spalted Mango,
Mahogany, and even a 6 string uke (where the 2nd and

The FLUKE is slightly larger than concert size with
15 frets and an overall length of 23 inches. A solid
maple neck and Australian pine top are combined with
a molded body and fretboard creating a full, bright
tone, unmatched at this price. The tenor FLUKE has the
same body size as the concert but has a scale length
that is 1 1/2 inches longer. Like the concert, the tenor
easily accommodates GCEA tuning but can also handle
the lower DGBE tuning (high D). Both sizes can be ordered
in a variety of colors and designs as well as with pickup
options. All Fluke models come standard with Aquila
strings and are proudly made in the USA!
 Smaller
than the Fluke, the FLEA uke offers easy playability,
great sound and plenty of personality. The FLEA is offered
in soprano, concert (15 frets) and tenor (17 frets)
sizes. A solid maple neck and Australian pine top are
combined with a molded body and fretboard creating a
surprisingly big, bright tone, unmatched at this price.
Available in cool colors and designs with a how-to-play
booklet. Rosewood fretboard and pickup options are available
on all models. All Flea models come standard with Aquila
strings and are proudly made in the USA!
 Flea
Market Music is associated with Jim Beloff - widely
known for his Jumpin' Jim ukulele songbooks
- many of which we carry in the store. We will be getting
a couple of Flukes and Fleas in the store shortly and
you can order others from us as well. Note that they
are all made to order so they take a bit of time to
arrive. All the more reason to check them out in the
store when they get here!

We now carry Eleuke brand electric ukuleles. They are
absolutely one of the most versatile and affordable
electric ukes on the market. From traditional ukulele

Uke" - A documentary about the global resurgence
of the ukulele in the 21st Century. It features Jake

Award at the Woodstock Film Festival and the People's
Choice Award at the Whistler Film Festival.
