Composing and writing music used to be a very time
consuming process and required a lot of experience,
talent, and creativity.
Well, talent and creativity are still required, but
state-of-the-art computers and some very clever user-friendly
software products have made music composition much
simpler. And with templates to get started and easy
editing capabilities, perhaps you don't need quite
as much talent either (but no guarantees!)
We have a kiosk in our store, our "Composer's
Cottage", where we have a brand new Apple Macintosh
desktop computer with leading music composition software
installed. We also have an integrated MIDI keyboard
that makes composing music as easy as playing it.
We also provide reference books and a quick start
guide if you need some additional help.
If you aren't a professional musician with lots of
extra cash it may not be worth it to pay for an entire
system like this yourself. But if you want to try
it out on a part-time basis, we make it incredibly
cost-effective (and it is loads of fun too, even for
those of us not quite in the Mozart-class of composers).
For a very nominal hourly fee you can let your creative
side soar.
