Guitar Class

Learn to play the songs you love!!
Beginner to intermediate instruction in a small
friendly group setting. Ear training, theory,
and hands-on learning will have you playing
in no time!
- Ages: Teen/Adult
- Prerequisites: None; bring your own guitar
(or you can rent one at the store)
- Dates/Times: Tuesdays and Thursdays 1:00-2:00

Songwriter's
Workshop

Learn songwriting from a performing singer/songwriter
during this intensive and fun workshop. In this
small friendly group setting you will learn
songwriting basics, from structure, to melody,
to lyrics, to putting it all together. We are
offering two sessions for this class. You may
take either session or take both.
- Ages: Teen/Adult
- Prerequisites: Basic familiarity with music
and music concepts

Ukulele Seminar ("Sampler" Class)

Are you interested in getting a little "hands-on" experience with
one of the hottest little instruments in music
today - the ukulele? Come to one (or more) of
these one-hour introductory lessons and learn
why so many people love to make music with the
ukulele.
We can't guarantee you will be an expert at
the end of the hour, but we can guarantee you
will be playing a song and having a great time.
No experience required. Bring your own ukulele
if you have one, otherwise we will provide you
with a loaner.
Note this class will be offered four different
convenient times. Hawaiian attire encouraged
but not mandatory!
- Ages: Everyone welcome!
- Prerequisites: Just enthusiasm for learning
new things. Bring your own ukulele or you
can borrow one from the store

Beginning
Ukulele Class

Do you want to gain basic proficency
in the ukulele? Then this class is for you.
During this four-week series you will learn
basic chords and strumming patterns to create
some beatuiful contemporary and traditional
Hawaiian songs through a proven and fun ukulele
ciricullum developed by our instructor.
You must bring a ukulele to this class, but
if you don't have one you can purchase one at
the store - we have them available at all price
levels.
Note there is also a $15 materials fee for
the course book plus a CD.
- Ages: Everyone welcome!
- Prerequisites:Bring your own ukulele.
- Dates/Times: Saturdays 10:15AM-11:25AM June

Learn Jazz Improv

No jazz player is complete without learning
how to improvise. Come join this low-pressure
series that will take your playing to the next
level. You will learn basic jazz theory, scales,
chords and how to play a solo over the chord changes.
All instruments welcome. Great prep class for
Lafayette Summer Music Workshop!
Be sure to bring music manuscript and note
paper (or you can buy some at the store first
lesson day)
- Ages: Middle school and up
- Prerequisites: Must have experience on the
instrument and knowledge of the major scales
and chords
- Dates/Times: Fridays 11:30 AM - 1:00 PM
for eight weeks starting June 18th
- Cost: $160 for the eight class series

Come Join a Band!

Come join a band for the summer and play! We
are forming a small-group music combo to meet
once a week for basic instruction and guidance
while having fun playing a variety of musical
forms: jazz, rock, and funk music (no heavy metal,
though)
We are looking for drums, bass, guitar, piano,
woodwinds, and brass.
- Ages: Middle school and up
- Prerequisites: Must have 2+ years experience
on the instrument
- Dates/Times: Fridays 1:00 PM - 2:30 PM for
eight weeks starting June 18th
- Cost: $160 for the eight class series
