On the first Saturday of every month you can hear wonderful
old-time fun acoustic music coming from our group lesson
area. It sounds so great sometimes you might think it
a performing group is rehearsing. But no - even better
- it is our very own Lamorinda Music folk jam, coordinated
by John Gruenstein.

The next one is Saturday, February 4th
- come for as little or as much as you can - drop-ins
always welcome. The exact times of the Jam in February
is still TDB, call the store for details.
It
is a casual low-pressure group of musicians who love
to play together. Qualifications? None - except a love
of music and an acoustic instrument (guitar, banjo,
fiddle, mandolin, or whatever) to bring along. You can
pick a song you'd like to lead as we go in a circle
or just come to follow or listen. Not a musician or
don't know if is right for you? Don't worry - feel free
to drop by just to listen - an audience is always welcome!
.
It is free and newcomers are always welcome - every
month new players come by and play. And everyone leaves
the jam happier than when they came in - it certainly
speaks to the transformative power of music in our lives.
All classes are held in the group class area at Lamorinda
Music - 81 Lafayette Circle, Lafayette CA. Contact the

Folk Jam Music
For the first hour of the Jam, we will focus on playing
songs from the "Parking Lot Picker's Songbook",
available from Lamorinda Music in guitar, banjo, mandolin,
and fiddle editions. For the secound hour we will expand
to any other music you wish to play. Below is some music
that has been played in previous jams: (Click
